Dr.Lennart Righard’s Swedish study published with midwife, Margaret Alade, in The Lancet* looked at two groups of babies, one group was unmedicated during labor and birth and in the other group the mothers were given pain medication. In the unmedicated mother group the babies crawled to the breast within 50 minutes, and  most infants self-attached!  Not all of the infants of medicated labors were able to do this. This film has become a classic and is viewed all over the world.

A must for hospital staff in-service. A wonderful adjunct for Training in preparation for the Baby Friendly designation. Childbirth classes have had unprecedented success with this video. It helps parents to seriously consider their birth options with the baby in mind. This six-minute video will change your protocols!
