ABOUT KITTIE FRANTZ
Kittie Frantz,
internationally known for her over 40 years of work developing breastfeeding
programs, is the Coordinator of Lactation Education at Los Angeles County,
University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center. She is also a Clinical
Instructor in Pediatrics at the University of Southern California (USC) Keck
School of Medicine. The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),
Extension/School of Nursing features her as a lecturer for the Lactation
Educator and Lactation Consultant programs once a year.
Honored as National Association of
Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners (NAPNAP), Fellow of
the Year in 1980, she is frequently invited to instruct at
universities and medical conferences in many countries and sits on the United
States National Breastfeeding Committee as well as the State of California's
Breastfeeding Promotion Committee. She
blends scholarship with personal experience, having breastfed her
own children.
